Dobbs Park seems small but actually is over 100 acres! Most people know it for its Nature Center and Native American Museum but others go there to fish in the pond. (Being a "city girl," I would have called it a lake but online, it is described as a three-acre pond)! I recently walked the trails at Dovbs Park and was quite surprised and pleased with the experience. The trails were easy to follow, comfortable due to the tree canopy, and well-kept up. I took my students on a hike and we all had a great time!

The Best! One of the oldest and yet well maintained Parks in Terre Haute. Obviously due to the courage and devotion of the groundskeeper. These good people need raises. In the early nineties, my mother would come here and take daily naps and feed the critters. The person you scoff at today, may be sitting in the Oval office tomorrow.

Great park with gorgeous view of the river across the street. Free. Has benches. About 8 parking spots. Bags and cans. Small and large dog sides. Water spickets for spring/summer (they were closed in winter). Only down fall was, the farther from the gate you get the more unpicked up poop there was. It's like owners just stand by the gate and if the dog poops far away, they dont pick it up? Must have seen at least 40 pulls of poop.

First time going, and our dog loved it even though he was the only dog there! Lots of running around, being silly and playing with the toys they provide. 😊
