What dog owners are saying
Recent review snippets help visitors gauge vibe, upkeep, and who each park suits best.
Well maintained park and trails although a couple of trails are currently closed. The Gorge Trail is open and has very scenic views of the Cuyahoga River and rock formations. The parking area is fairly large and there are restrooms.
Read more about Gorge Metro ParkGreat paved bike and hike trail, nice greenery and trees along the trail providing shade. Was lucky to see a deer cross the path around 3pm! Clean restroom, gazebo and picnic benches near the entrance. There’s a canoe launch just after the parking lot and look out and seated area to watch the river. Fun activities for paddle boats, kayaking or seat by the river. Trail is also dog friendly.
Read more about Brust ParkI really liked this park. It’s quiet and beautiful, with plenty of space for walking, a nice playground for kids, and kayaking. A great place to relax and enjoy nature.
Read more about Water Works ParkNice dog park that is separated into two areas. One is for bigger dogs and one is for smaller dogs. Tons of room for them to run in both sections. Took our two here on a nice day in February and the ground was super muddy but our girls had a blast. My only complaint was that the two hoses didn't have running water. I hope it was just because of the time of the year but it definitely needs to be turned on so we can wash our dogs off. There is also a big community water bowl with jugs to refill it if runs out.
