Best park in town hands down. Has a nice path w/ great view. Can be a little crowded over the weekends but it's still worth going there to get some fresh air.

This park is well taken care of! Green and clean. Not ridden with homeless people. Have a great view of mountain. There is playground for kids and soccer field. Unfortunately no restrooms around!

Beautiful park with a variety of trees and long runs of grass for dogs or sidewalks for jogging. Many pretty young girls, probably from the academy who favor the park.

It’s a very cute park tucked away, that’s actually a pretty nice walk with paved sidewalk along the pathway. The field is a little patchy, but it’s to be expected during this time of the year. Playground looked nice and clean though, with plenty of room for the little ones to run around without bumping into each other!

Academy Hills Park is a tranquil little oasis in Albuquerque's Northeast area very few people know about. I only became aware of this place as it becomes somewhat visible through the thick forested trees while driving past the Juan Tabo and Eubank intersection. Access to the park can be a little difficult to find, but it's not impossible. Simply catch Layton off Eubank, then turn left on to Concordia, and follow-up by turning left again into Admiral Emerson Ave. Once you've done that, you'll immediately find yourself driving alongside the park, where parking is usually plentiful. People who frequent this park most regularly seem to be residents of the nearby area; it's particularly popular with joggers, families, and dog-walkers. It's easy to understand why too, as the Academy Hills Park possesses a number of alluring qualities. Lush and far-stretching green fields of grass paved walking trails, and large shade-providing trees all bestow the park with its own unique sense of splendor. In addition, the mighty Sandias stand tall and proud at the east-facing end of the park, which just makes the place seem all the more picturesque. Albuquerque doesn't have too many wide-open areas deep within its limits that are both relaxing and largely free from the chaos of the city. Academy Hills Park is one such rare place; it's a hidden gem and one to definitely be taken advantage of (should you know where to find it).
