I had not been to Alley Park in about 10 years?! Lots of delightful changes but I will start with the core delights. The gorgeous covered bridge, the event center combined with Lake Loretta and the surrounding trees provide excellent photography in countless directions! There are several relatively short but very enjoyable trails. There are two nice shelter houses and an authentic log cabin as well. Alley Park hosts many events all year long including educational camps and they have a delightful storybook trail and outdoor education area with tactile stations!! There is a sample "eagle's nest", a station for strollers or wheelchairs where kids can run their hands through forest treasures at their height! My favorite thing is the relief tiles of various tree bark and animal tracks present in this park and Fairfield County! Kids could even do rubbings! In just one walk around Lake Loretta and through the covered bridge, my dog and I met folks there for a wedding and two high school senions getting their keepsake phots taken! Plenty of parking, dogs permitted, well maintained trails, lots of picnic tables, two shelters and the event center can be reserved and rented. The only downside that there is only one restroom at the parking lot. All in all, I am grateful this park is thriving and as gorgeous as ever! Thanks to all who keep it going!

Pretty lights and such an easy walk! Very moderate activity level for Christmas lights. Recommend for all ages! Yummy popcorn and concessions by an open fire! Throughout the year they bring conservation and awareness to the public through several activities. I went for the Christmas lights, and it was well organized and easy to navigate with no traffic issues.

Great place to go hiking, very scenic! The outer loops is a moderate hike with good elevation change.

Alley Park is part of the Lancaster park system, located just off Route 33 on the way to the Hocking Hills. Clearcreek Metro Park is also nearby. These are mostly less-used but very appealing visits for hikers and a bit more. Alley Park includes a fishing lake and some newer outdoor nature exhibits, along with a classic log cabin and covered bridge. There’s also are also walking & hiking trails, including a mostly level trail around the lake, along with more challenging trails above.

This place has lots of short trails, and you can easily spend 2-3 hours here. There are two small lakes, a nature center, a covered bridge, and most of it is a wooded landscape. There are plenty of birds and other wildlife to see here. People do tend to come here on the weekend, so the earlier you come in the day, the better your experience will likely be. Some of the trails can be difficult to follow if leaves are covering them, but you should be able to figure it out. Another nice thing, every place where trails connect, they have very helpful signs to show you we're you're at.
