The park next to the Octagon House. When I saw the pictures online, I expected to walk in and see a field of green grass. I was met with an open plain of sandy dirt. I’m not sure whether they are in the process of planting new grass, or if all the grass just died out, but it didn’t look pretty. The dogs still seemed to be enjoying themselves, at least. Not all is lost. About a third of the park is taken up by a garden-like area, dedicated to a diverse array of thriving plants. It only takes a moment to walk through it all using the small pathways. I do think this park needs an infrastructure upgrade- maybe some concrete and new benches. The trees looked healthy and probably offer lots of shade when the sun comes out. Overall, there’s not too much I can positively say about Allyne park. People seem to like it, but I think there could be more. It’s decently sized, yet it’s missing restrooms, a playground, hell, even grass at the moment. I probably won’t visit again unless it is changed. 3/5.

Great little city park with big shady trees, benches to enjoy sun or shade, and a place for dogs to play. Not too noisy either.

My favorite small park in Cow Hollow. Fantastic little lawn and small walking path through flowers and trees. A truly majestic gem in San Francisco. Great walk from here up to Lafayette Park and/or down to Fort Mason.

This is a lovely little park sponsored by San Francisco Recreation and Parks. Located at the corner of Green and Gough Streets, this is a place to sit and read, talk or play with your dog. People don't really like people watching here in San Francisco. Most people try to keep a low profile. Those who stick out attract the attention of the cops because they do things that require them to make a statement and sign it. Then they have to deal with lawyers, pleas, and judges. Trying and sentencing are not my business. How did anhedonia and allodynia get here? They aren't. If you are always such a Puddleglum and have no way to cheer yourself with small pleasures, you have anhedonia. If you'd rather tout up the pleasures of another park and gainsay this one, either we could compare parks and attitudes about them. But if you sprout turkeys and stupid Silent Bob hater drones over the opinion I have concerning a city park, you just may have allodynia. If my time in a city park causes you physically to suffer pain and loss of your own happiness and function, you probably do have something akin to allodynia! This is not the place for a live and let live diatribe, but I gave you one anyway. Do you need to make a federal libel or slander case out of it to cross your T's and dot your I's? Go ahead!

Excellent place to hangout in a chill environment. Definitely a dog park so be careful or bring a blanket if sitting on the grass.
