I had a client request a family photo session at Alta Plaza. I had never visited, so I was a bit hesitant, but their home was nearby and it felt like a good fit. Turns out Alta Plaza is gorgeous – beautiful lawns, big trees, expansive views, well taken care of. There is a lot that I did not explore, like the tennis courts and playground, but both were busy and looked great from afar. I felt safe the entire time I was there. And the sunset light and views were spectacular, especially for a park in the middle of the city!

My niece enjoys the play equipment the ground it a bit ruff and could use a update. Plenty of area to walk your dogs and they have some good views up in the hill top

Alta plaza is one of my favorite areas to walk after grabbing a coffee. This family- and dog-friendly park is spacious, has nice views and allows beautiful sunsets most of the year.

It's a beautiful Park. Great views! There are so many little parks scattered across the city with their own distinct charm and beauty. Take a moments. Slow down and take a closer look. You may be surprised.

If views of the Sutro Tower and Twin Peaks are something you enjoy, you’ll like this park. You will also see plenty of other neighborhoods and hills, and if you’re in the right spot, you can spot the top of the Transamerica Pyramid when looking toward downtown. The view is really the highlight of this park. There are lots of benches to sit and admire it, but depending on where you enter, you’ll have to walk up a bit to reach them. That’s one thing I personally disliked about this park; the park is on a hill, so it can be difficult to navigate. The infrastructure could also use an update or refurbishment. Other than that, it’s quite delightful. You can picnic, walk your dog, play tennis, take your family to the playground, etcetera. I probably would not visit this park again. I had to go out of my way to visit it, it’s just not close to any notable locations, and there’s not much it has that other parks don’t. I’m just happy to cross it off my list of places to visit. Overall, 4/5.
