We walk our Labrador almost every day. It’s a great venue and very dog friendly. The leash policy is based on common sense and the reasonable man concept. I rarely have my dog on leash. Martha stays by my side, when she’s not chasing a ball. Most dog walkers respect the other walkers and when necessary, they use the leash. Plenty of space for everyone to enjoy AG.

★★☆☆☆ Popularity ★★☆☆☆ Size/Location ★★★★☆ Terrain ★★★★☆ Scenery ★★★★☆ Accessibility ★★☆☆☆ Amenities ★★★★☆ Condition ★★★★☆ Safety Date visited: 09/15/2023 This park boasts an expansive parking lot that immediately catches the eye, but what struck me the most was the relative scarcity of visitors on the day of my visit. It felt like stumbling upon a hidden treasure, a secluded haven waiting to be explored. The park's prominent feature was a paved trail winding through the park, revealing signs of wear and disrepair in some sections. Despite this, the trail offered a fair amount of elevation change, branching off into different directions. While the path rarely offered the comfort of shade, it did provide hikers with an engaging hike that typically takes about 30 minutes to complete. The landscape was predominantly characterized by vast grasslands, occasionally punctuated by patches of wood that added a touch of wilderness to the scenery. What truly set this park apart was the breathtaking vista it offered - a panoramic view of distant hills and mountains, a sight that evoked a sense of adventure and wanderlust. On the day of my visit, a gentle fall breeze rustled through the grass, creating a delightful contrast with the bright sun overhead. The freshly cut grass bore witness to the care that the park's groundskeepers put into maintaining the area. However, the recent presence of strong winds had left its mark, uprooting a tree and serving as a reminder of nature's power. One intriguing but slightly eerie feature was the presence of an old, seemingly abandoned building. It piqued my curiosity, tempting me to explore its mysteries further. Yet, a sense of caution prevailed, and I wisely decided to forgo the temptation. Overall, my experience at this park was genuinely pleasant, with its combination of picturesque views and an engaging trail. I would readily recommend it to anyone who enjoys a leisurely walk amidst natural beauty and the allure of distant horizons.

Walk as much as you want. Dogs are off leash but please keep your dog on leash if yours attack others.

A large, beautiful and well-maintained park. It's a paradise for dogs and their owners. You can walk with and without a leash. There's plenty of parking. There are even tennis courts.

Hidden gem! There is an unbelievable amount of beautiful acres and views here. Pack a picnic as this is a great place for one with lots of shade trees. The old golf course paths provide some good trails. There is an old abandoned building too. If you hop off the trails to the west side you can see what looks like an old Frank Lloyd Wright home at the edge of the woods. There also appears to be a community garden. Rolling hills make this quite scenic. I think some of the paths may be wheelchair accessible as they are paved but it is steep. So maybe not the best outdoor place for wheelchairs. Must see place for urban hikes!
