One of the Best Parks in Miami Dade County. Its at least 500 acres of land so make sure you explore it very carefully. There are a lot of park rangers so it's safe for kids. There is also an animal farm and pony rides for small kids. I have been coming here for as long as I can remember since I was 4 years old. I grow up going to this park and I still go there. I really recommend this park. The park is named after a very famous female pilot that disappeared a very long time ago.

Beautiful park with plenty of space to all types of fun things. A playground, fields, trees, wildlife, fishing, biking, hiking and more. Had a blast with my daughter and it's free during the week. Please help keep the few nice Parks cleaner than when you arrived. Kill the iguanas they are an invasive species and bother any homeless people with Joel Olsteen regurgitation, it's the only thing that makes them leave permanently.

I tried it out on a weekday. I would say based on distance not worth $7 to park on the weekend but during the week it’s quiet and my dog liked the large space. However dogs are not allowed any place else which is unfortunate that certain hours the entire park is dog friendly on a lead.
