Nice park! But too many homeless!!! Smoking and you can’t even use the restrooms because the homeless are inside doing drugs and smoking weed

I used to sleep here at night after I was warned NOT to return to my first "shared housing" roommate experience left me OUT IN THE COLD. I can appreciate the same people who helped me KEEP MY WITS TOGETHER still showing up every now and again. The memories about the pet vaccinations the park held. Or thinking about how many people in the community would come here at night particularly to gather & enjoy kindness the presence my daughter brought with her beautiful smile. To the opportunity for me to get out into the community so I could begin socializing and integrate into a place that still has so many others. I have a few pictures of the only reason I even stop by or walk through. He's always got a GREAT story to tell me. He always welcomed me with a hug. I can count on him to not be secretive nor messy about keeping it honest, real and straightforward. "Keep coming back!" It means alot to me that I could look forward to going to the park to see him. No matter what and he don't even know it. A familiar face and a hug goes such a long way for me so this park is great! Memories to let go of so I can grow! American Heroes Park- a place where I can be me.

Separated gated dog area for small and large dogs. My Dobie likes to run around. I hardly see any other dogs inside the area when we visit.

Very nice park lots of room the only issue is the homeless and drug activities going. They do it next to the playground area. Also some people allow their dogs to play on the field area and use the restroom instead of taking them to the dog park area designated for dogs. It's hard to workout when you have dogs running around instead of being in their area.

I go with my dog in small dog park. And everyone and their dogs are so friendly
