It was the first time Bandit, my daughter’s Toy Australian Shepherd pup, had ever been in and around water. We introduced him by taking him to Aqua Pups for an orientation evaluation. We were greeted by Marla who is the nicest person ever! Bandit usually takes a little while to either warm up to someone (or not) but he gravitated to Marla immediately! We were amazed. He followed her everywhere:) He loved running around the pool, liked walking into the water up to his paws on the ramp, but wasn’t quite ready to just jump in on his own. But he would swim if lowered in by the instructor! We are going back for a private swimming lesson with Marla to work her magic getting him more comfortable being in the water and jumping in on his own. Check out Aqua Pups! It’s an excellent low impact fun experience for your dog and he/she will have a great time.Be sure to ask for Marla! Some photos of his first swim🐾
My dog learned to swim a few months ago and has become obsessed. I started looking for a place for him to swim regularly and found AquaPups. We’re a few weeks in and we love it here! We did the monthly membership, and it’s a great way for him to get out his energy and exercise while doing something that he loves. The staff is super welcoming and helpful. Today, Marla was on staff and was very communicative and helpful with my questions and was super friendly towards both me and my dog. She made me want to bring him back and often. She even took a few photos for me and as you can tell, my dog loves it here. He gives it a four paw rating of approval!!
Marla was amazing with Bojack and so patient with him!! He has never swam before and was unsure of the water, but also super confident and excited. Marla kept him engaged and was so sweet to him. I highly recommend Aquapups to anyone with a puppy or new dog. This is awesome socialization in a controlled environment to introduce swimming!
I found this place on social media as I was look for a place to take my year and a half old lab. We live near a lake BUT it’s winter and my boy needs play time! Marla and Brandon were great with him through orientation. They provided toys, towels, bath station/blow dry station. He had such a great and played so hard he was asleep before we ever got home! Tired pup happy dog mom. Thank you guys for loving my boy!
Awesome place for a water loving pup!! 4 stars, only because its a little pricey for private swim (for my own budget), but the price difference from open swim is also understandable. If your dog is solid enough to do open/public swim, the fee is much less💕. I take him as often as I can, he absolutely LOVES the AquaPups pool. He's scared to jump off edges, so the ramp is perfect 👌🏽. Marla and Sumyra were very helpful, taking pictures of my dog so I could play with him and sending them to me. Wish they had a location on my side of town!! 💕
