Absolutely love this place! Very cool spot to hike and explore. It’s better in the spring or fall because it’s mostly unshaded on the rock. There are a couple of different places to park on Klondike.

This hike was everything I needed today. The serenity of being amongst the trees 🌳 and the test of endurance getting to the top of the mountain. Excited to go more often. Parked in the nature center lot off Klondike which had plenty of parking, at 9:30 on a Saturday morning.

Easy to park, free, bathrooms, staff at park pro-actively asked if I had any questions, easy/moderate hike, and saw a deer that had no issues with a human nearby.

Let’s keep this amazing. Stay On the rock. Avoid sand pits with small plants. Please please keep your dog leased and off these areas and clean up after dogs. Don’t ruin it for others. I hope to always be able to bring my dog. Take a guided hike and you will understand better.
