Water fountain works in the dog park for large dogs. The whole park area is huge and still under construction. However the dog runs are small. Plenty of free parking next door to the new Chamblee PD. Restroom is on site. Basketball court, soccer practice area, 3 pickleball courts, and outdoor gym equipment are available. Ribbon cutting ceremony is Thurs, Nov 2 6pm.

This lady brought in a bunch of grown pit bulls (way over 35lbs) to the small dogs section. Our dogs (less than 12 lbs) don’t do too well with big dogs which is why we came here. I asked nicely if she can go to the bigger dogs section and she refused saying it was too much work for her. We had to end up leaving.

Very clean but super tiny and empty at 6pm on a weekday. My poor big 80lb dog barely had room to run! great parking for dog owners who can't walk far.

This is a brand new off-leash dog park located near the newly constructed building for the Chamblee Police Department. Today, July 15, 2021, was my first time bringing my dogs to this park. No one else was in the park with their dogs. Pros: Sparkling new dog park at a great easy-access location with plenty of parking. It shares the parking lot with the Chamblee PD. Nicely cut grass lawn throughout most of the park with agility stations sprinkled around the park. They have a water fountain station (kudos) for dogs and humans, a tarp-covered area where there are several benches to sit on, poop bag stations and trashcans. The Park is divided into two sections by fence—one for little dogs (30lbs. and under) and one for large dogs. You can bring your little dogs into the big side, but you cannot bring the big dogs into the little side. If you are worried about personal safety, the Chamblee Police Department is 100 or so yards away. Cons: The Park is rectangular and small, located out in the middle of an open field. This review was from July at 8am in the morning and I could already feel the summer sun start to heat up the park. Probably not the best experience in extreme temperatures; best to go on overcast days during the summer or early morning/early evening. The tarp-covered bench area will only shade you when the sun is directly overhead. This area did not have grass but was covered in what looks like shale stone chips. Probably not the best choice in ground covering for a dog's paws with the sharp edges. One of my dogs didn't like walking on it. Summary: Great little park in a great location to swing by and let your dog do its business and maybe play with other dogs.

First visit. Loved the trail through the green space. My dog really enjoyed it even though no other dogs were there! I am surprised that the park doesn't have a playground.
