This review is mainly for the dog park. The rest of the park is okay, but just okay. There’s two mini lakes or mosquito hotels being are Colorado can’t seem to understand that still bodies of unmoving water are perfect for breeding mosquitos (part of the reason we have to worry about Malaria - yes that Malaria - every spring/summer). As for the dog park: Not sure who asked for this but they have sectioned off about a quarter of the once large dog park to add a small dog area. This has a sharp corner as well which will be easy for dogs to accidentally run into while playing and not paying attention. This area (the small dog section) was clearly an afterthought, people also refuse to only put small dogs there and ignore clear instructions. It has also created this effect where everyone stands in front of the entry/exit way to the main dog park area blocking it and refusing to move unless interacted with. This place has no shade and even less since they keep cutting trees and leaving the stumps cause ya know we stan a tripping hazard. A large group of people refuse to pick up their dogs shitake which has resulted in it being everywhere in the park especially the whole outer (former) circle. People also let their dogs dig holes (tripping hazards) and don’t fill them back in resulting in large puddles of sludge and mosquito larvae in the spring/summer - some owners seem to think it’s okay to let their dogs drink from these as if they themselves would also drink from them. Wasps nest in the last remaining truly shaded bench (the four seater in the summer) and this place constantly smells of fecal matter because this is America and we can’t have nice things so OF COURSE the dog park is right next to a waste treatment facility. Cause why not spend your little free time smelling an open sewage line in while taking your dog to a park. People rating this place must be smoking something really nice cause this place is not. There’s a water pipe so always water, but it’s city water so be careful of any boil water notices, idk I hate this place now. Them making it smaller didn’t help when it was already somewhat abysmal to begin with. There are much nicer parks not right next to waste treatment facilities I’d recommend going to almost any other one save for this one.

Autrey dog park is located in Superior Colorado, nestled away down a hill. It’s a great place to take your dog. This dog park is perfectly located. In Superior most neighborhoods are connected with lots of walking paths. Autrey dog park is in the middle of all those trails! So no matter where you live in the nearby radius, it should be easy to walk to the park. There’s so much room for them to run and play. Spread throughout are trash cans and doggie bags, in case you forgot yours. I went on a colder day and there were still so many dogs out enjoying the weather and their friends. The gated area is the largest play area and where most dogs are let loose to play. Outside of the gated area are tables and benches to sit and enjoy watching your dog have fun. Most of the tables have a decent sized tree nearby to block some of the sun when it gets really warm outside.

I loved the dog park. There was a walking trail for the humans and balls everywhere. Water for the pups and the agility course. I have pit bulls and nobody judges or scoffed me and everyone took care of their business. It was very clean of poop and there were also extra bags that the community brings in. Slightly small but surrounded by a dog loving and behaved community.

Just come here for the dog park. 3 stars is not a review on the entire park. Dog park is decent, however wish the terrain was better. Barely any grass, to be expected but ground is full of nasty rocks. Dogs hurt their paws chasing after balls. Gotta be careful.

I had so much fun walking around this park while my son skated! They even had a bike track! I got a lot of great photos and got my 6000 steps in at the same time!
