We went Thanksgiving night to kick start our holiday season. It has a $20 entry fee, and at least 10% or more of the displays had sections that were not working properly or at all.. 😕 We recently went back (15 days later), and most every display was working. It was a wonderful experience, and I'm glad we returned. It's making a bundle of money at $20/vehicle because traffic was a nonstop bumper to bumper event, throughout the entire route, and vehicles lined up at the entrance, as we left. I hoped that the proceeds would go to a local food bank or something? It claims "non profit" status,.. with the amount of traffic inside of and leaving the display, I disagree on the nonprofit... Oh well,.. it was nice,.. and you'd spend a lot more money for entertainment at the movie theaters... Keokuk, Iowa, the Christmas display is wonderful and has a "free will" donation... People who can't afford anything except gas for their vehicles can even enjoy it...
We went on a Saturday night before Christmas. It was cool outside but nice enough to open the windows a bit. It was 20 dollars to go through but well worth it! The time and electricity and lights were wonderful! I appreciate the time it takes for all of this for others. My dog loved all the lights as much as we did! Thanks!
Always a fun thing to do for the holidays. So glad they were abel to bring this back to our community. Cost is $12 per vehicle (worth it). They have done a great job this year considering that a large portion of the light displays were sold off when they stopped doing it a few years ago (they did manage to bring back a few of my favs). Go see the lights and support them so they can continue doing the Avenue of Lights and expand their displays.
Awesome experience!!! I would recommend it to anyone!!!
Lights are so fascinating! So many different scenes to look at. If you like Christmas Lights go here.
