Mom and I had a wonderful time here. So beautiful and clean and safe place for a mother daughter picnic. After we ate we rented veo scooters and road around for an hour!!! Amazing memories are to be made at this place.

This is one of my favorite parks. Close to where we live and the small lake and surrounding wooded area attracts lots of birds, including the occasional rarity. I visit there at least monthly. The walking path around the lake is flat, paved and easy for anyone to navigate. There’s a well maintained play area, a ball field and multiple picnic tables, including several pavilions.

This place is absolutely amazing. EVERY SINGLE THING about munchies on 5th I literally loved. The restaurant is very clean the staff is very friendly and helpful and the FOOD WAS PERFECT. I ordered the deluxe cheese burger and fries and sweet tea and when I left I ordered a piece of Red velvet cake. There was so much food left over I had lunch the next day. They play the newest music and I just ate and danced. They have outside seating and a really nice bar area. This was my first time to munchies and I enjoyed myself so much. I recommend checking out munchies on 5th you won't be disappointed. I know I'm a return customer.

♿️ Very nice park with lots of history behind it. Walked the trail around the pond several times, it was small, so it takes a little bit to get your steps in. But, the natural scenery...trees, the stone steps, the rocks, the amphitheater, the rose garden, the tiny babbling brook are all worth stopping to check out. The old statue is gone and they've replaced it with a bronze statue of "Miss Fancy" the elephant and a plaque telling you it once was the B'ham Zoo. This is easily wheelchair ♿ accessible and friendly as the majority is flat. There are plenty of benches to sit in the shade or by the pond. There are quite a few covered areas with tables as well. I found another yellow crested heron at this park amd that made my day. They are a sign of good luck and prosperity. And so far, I've seen them in every park but 2 that I've been to recently. It's definitely worth checking out if you haven't been yet. There's plenty of parking, a softball field, and some other stuff that I never made it over towards bc I found a secret set of stone steps and I'll just let it keep being a secret so others will go try to find them. 🤣
