Update (02/07/26) Restrooms have finally been repaired so I updated my review. 01/11/26 The restroom maintenance is poor which is disappointing considering how busy the park is. They have been in this condition for 8 months now, blinking lights and a scary sounds by some equipment located above the doors. Little kids approch the restrooms wide-eyed and terrified to enter! If you're prone to seizures due to blicking lights, then you may also want to use the facilities at the gas station down the street.

It's an older park, but it's a good place to spend time by yourself or with others. Big enough areas for catch and release fishing. Baby, kid, and couples swings available, There are plenty of shaded areas with various picnic tables and benches. Paved walking paths and a short wooded trail off to the side. You'll find ducks, nutra rats, sand volleyball court, and playgrounds for kids and toddlers. I wish this place had food trucks with snacks or ice cream available.

Bane Park is a vibrant, well-rounded destination perfect for families and outdoor enthusiasts. It blends natural beauty like wildlife, walking trails, and a scenic fishing lake with practical amenities including playgrounds, splash features, sports courts, and picnic areas. Whether you’re planning a playful outing, a relaxing walk, or a casual community gathering, Bane Park offers something for all ages. Just keep in mind occasional safety vigilance and check splash pad availability in peak summer. Still, this “little oasis” is a solid choice when you’re looking to escape the city bustle without leaving Houston.

You're allowed to go fishing in pond. Great place to bring kids to run around and let out steam. There's even a teeny tiny trail if you can find it.
