The park is beautifully maintained, the dog park is a decent size but I really find it unprofessional and upsetting that they have not changed the times on google and that the sign in front contradicts itself. On google it says the dog park is open, the sign at the dog park says, Monday- Sunday, open through sunset but at the bottom in slightly small letters it says Tuesday closed for maintenance 8-12pm In my opinion, the sign and on google should show and say Monday, Wednesday- Sunday, 8am- Sunset. Tuesday, closed for maintenance, open at 12, or just open at 12. To make it worse you get here thinking it's open, escaping morning rush hour only to find out it's not open yet, for several hours no less and to make it better, you are not allowed to walk with your dog around the park! Please whoever is responsible for the park, please at least change the time on google, I feel bad for getting my dogs hopes up and it is upsetting that the time I took for my dogs got ruined because the bark parks department didn't update the times on google.

This park is the one we spend most of our time in due to the close proximity, so here are the pros and cons compared to all the other dog parks we have been to. Pros: Size fun obstacles for the dogs nice big trees and shaded areas sidewalk loop for walking near a nice lake Cons: Very poor maintenance So. Much. Poop. No AstroTurf No lighting The water fountain for dogs has been broken for years Elaborations: This location is great, with lots of space to run, but with all the dog traffic and no maintenance, the grass (collection of weeds) turns to dust very quickly. As the dogs run, there are fine dust clouds so thick, that this is actually a heath hazard. We have tried to ask for AstroTurf and lighting to be installed at least in the high traffic areas, but this just doesn't seem like a priority. The amount of poop has radically increased recently due to a mixture of irresponsible owners who have the excuse that there are no bags (poor maintenance). The thing is that the bags are not replenished often, and I think sometimes when the box isn't locked, people just steal the whole roll. The gates have also been broken for a while, so they often don't close correctly and dogs escape. Saddest of all is the mass destruction of the beautiful barrier of old pines between the park and the highway. Now our view is the highway, there is no sound or pollution being filtered by the beautiful old trees, and I simply don't understand how this was allowed to happen. All that being said, we make do because we love our dogs, but this beautiful park is so far from living up to its full potential that its is just sad.

It's fun for doggies big and small. Each have their own specific side. They have enough space to run around and make friends and even drink water and take a little shower 😁 for the most part all dogs get along and owners too but you also have the one sometimes that want to be the Alpha. Just be you. Park rules, if anything goes bad call the park police and they will come take care of it.

I've been coming to this park for months and it finally happened. My dog managed to escape through TWO broken doors today. The main door has been broken for well over a year and now the large dog park door was broken last Sunday, 10-22-22. Maintenance is done on Tuesdays. Their fix? Put a garbage can in front of thr door so dogs can't go IN but they can easily escape if they decide to follow another dog, or are anxious to leave after playing. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. I hate to use the we pay taxes, but we also pay a fee for the Dade County do park tags so such things can be paid for. Also the water fountain has been a white plastic bucket for well over a year as well.

Although the abundance of trees and shade are nice, the grass is not well maintained, the picnic tables are old and warped, and there is no double gate system to allow your dog to be off leash before entering their side of the park. This really isn't a very large park compared to others in the area.
