Barkin Park

I love it here. I try to come here every week, my dogs got used to other dogs fairly quickly and the community is very responsible and friendly. I’m new to the area and having this nearby park has made my day several times. Seeing my dogs run free, enjoy, make new friends AND socialize has been amazing. I have never had such a healthy community of dogs with their owners. Recommend you trying the park with your dogs. There’s two areas, for big and medium size dogs and small, shy dogs. You can get on the side that works best for you. You can bring big dogs if they are old and very good with other dogs to the small shy dogs area in case you have one big and one small. Or viceversa.

My dog has a blast! It's clean and other dog owners are friendly and fun. Is it great environment for both interaction for the dogs in the owners.

I have big and small dogs, so I've experienced both yards. I've only encountered chill people and dogs here on either side. Everyone is pretty aware of the rules and just want a nice spot to let their dogs have some fun :)

Took my shy Lab/mix to the small dog area. Very friendly dogs and people. My dog was able to greet other dogs, sniff aroubd, investigate while i talked to others who enjoyed conversation and playing with their dog. Very nicely maintained facility with trees, chairs, some dog toys, water station, pooper scoopers, trash cans (please bring your own bags)as I did not remember seeing bags, just the scoopers with rakes as used by professionals. The chain link fence separates the large dog and small dog area. There is also a safety gate entrance. Enter gate 1, close, then enter park thru gate 2; this gives you a chance ti unleash your dog before entering the full park arena. Nice grassy area for throwing a ball, frisbee, training and relaxing. Highly reccommend you check out this park as your dogs retreat/refuge from the daily grind.

Very nice dog park, especially in the morning before it gets busy. A little mud to watch out for, but is mostly grass. My dog had a great time. Good meet with a couple other dogs. Will definitely be back.
