Absolutely great! My dog always has a blast and it’s a great excuse for a casual night out during the week. If you go three times a month it’s worth it to get the membership. Love it here! Great and attentive staff as well.

Absolutely love this new dog park bar! The owners are incredibly friendly and welcoming, making every visit feel special. The staff is super attentive and genuinely takes the time to get to know each dog personally. It’s such a warm, fun environment for both pups and their humans. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a great spot to hang out with their furry friends! Five stars all the way! 🐾🍻

After being fans of Barkside Detroit, we had to check out the new Barkside immediately! The new space is incredible with so much room for dogs to play inside and out! They even have a separate area for small doggies! The staff makes this place so special, always smiling and greeting us and our dog, Blue! She loves it here and we are eager to be regulars! So excited for the owners, Cody and David and can’t wait for all the fun activities at Barkside Southfield to come! Definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to hang out with pups while enjoying delicious cocktails, beer on tap, and any coffee drink (iced vanilla lattes are the best!) amazing place and so happy for this new location in the neighborhood!

This place is GREAT! I joined Barkside Southfield after trying it out during opening week. I am a lifelong dog owner and I've belonged to three different city dog parks over the years (still belong to my current resident city park). Barkside provides a truly unique experience that is so positive and enjoyable for dogs and humans alike. - the late hours and nice outdoor lighting allow those of us working late to still play with and exercise our dogs. What a game changer in the winter! My regular park closes at 6pm these days, and I have a young, active dog - he really needs that end of day play, and I am truly and deeply thankful every time I take him to Barkside at the end of a long workday. - Indoor/outdoor space allows for long play sessions even with bad weather conditions. And the lack of MUD means I can let my dog just play to his heart's content without having to bathe a mud monster (and then clean my car) on the way home. - the Barkside Rufferees are truly exceptional in managing the space, interacting with shy dogs and rambunctious dogs alike to help everyone adjust and play safely. I am so impressed with the behavioral dog knowledge and the interventions I've seen at Barkside! Dogs are calmed and/or separated before scuffles can even start, and everyone is so friendly and welcoming. Even though the dog population is denser than any regular dog park, the play is far safer because of the rufferies. And they are great at managing the owners as well (which I'm sure is no easy task). Rufferees also stay positive and model good human/human and human/dog interactions, which I think helps owners adjust and also play nicely with others (something that does not always happen in regular dog parks, especially if dogs aren't getting along as well). Just wonderful work, Rufferees - thank you, thank you, thank you! - I have an energetic, 65lb one year old pit mix who is just a lot of dog, so I am especially thankful that the Barkside Rufferees understand him and see his goofy spirit instead of just his big head and giant muscles. And, since they interact with him so much, the Barkside Rufferees have helped my young dog play better and he's even getting better at understanding when he needs to just cool it down a little - thank you! - as a single dog mom, I also deeply appreciate the human friendly seating, the beverage and snack bar, and the frequent food trucks. This is all SO NICE, especially on long work days when I haven't had a chance to sit down or even think about what I'm going to eat. And the separate fenced space for eating is great; you've really thought of just about everything! These are just a few things off the top of my head. I am sure I am forgetting some things, but I wanted to write a review and say THANK YOU, and WELL DONE, Barkside Southfield! 👏👏❤️
