It was truly inspirational and a humbling experience to be among a group of people on Thanksgiving Day putting the needs of others first. Food along with blankets and necessary toiletries were given. God bless those volunteers and a shout to my friends the ministry of Jesus Calling along with their food truck.
Just a walk thru but it was warm, welcoming vibe and visibly pleasing. I have personal reservations for returning to thoroughly immerse myself in all its offerings and I recommend anyone looking for a place to enjoy the outdoors park experience to do the same and share ur experience with me.
Nice in the Sun except the drug bags I found and picked up so kids wouldn't put it in their mouth. Bodega in view, seen criminal actions, and by that I mean watchers and drug sales, a store South of the park, very busy, not a officer in site, unless watched at a distance. There going to do it somewhere. I can tell they got scattery thinking I was a cop, as my dad lay in ICU on life support, praying and getting Sun at this park where a friend of mine got beat up 35 years ago at night. Got away from area, before sundown. Park Street Begins at the point of the small triangle shaped park. Only park near and in walking distance of Hartford Hospital where my dad has been since the 10th of October, 2024 & today is NOVEMBER 6th Election Day which they take school of for, and libraries in Wethersfield where my Father lives that they were having Drills for attacks.
More commonly known as bum Park. This is a place in Hartford where a lot of drug transactions occur. not a good place for children at all or even really for adults. The city tries to keep it clean but the people who go there are terrible at maintaining cleanliness. Not recommended as a place to visit casually as there's only one major reason people go here and that's drugs.
