Love to go to that park to take my dog and have a long walk. Is beautiful and super clean and well kept. I don't play baseball but they have good facilities and kayak ramp, pickleball , huge dog park and children's playground.

If you're looking to travel the bayou by kayak, this is the place to start. They have a nice kayak launch and plenty to explore in every direction. There is even another park with a nice kayak launch about half an hour away if you turn to the right and then stay right. If you turn right and then go left, you can go about double that distance but it doesn't look like there is anyplace to get out and take a break. If you turn left, you can go all the way down to Clear Lake if you want to. There are no motor boats allowed in any of these places except when you get close to Clear Lake, so it's a really nice setup for kayaking. Whichever path you choose, you are very likely to see alligators, a variety of coastal birds, and some jumping fish on your journey. The park has other things too including a playground, docks by the water, and decent bathrooms, but we were there to kayak which is why I focused on that aspect.

I love coming to this park with my kids to walk around, take in the nature views, and play at the playground. We have seen fish, turtles, gators, raccoons, and ducks. The best experience was when we spotted a pair of bald eagles flying over the bayou.

This is a wonderful park to visit and see nature on and around the bayou. You do need to be careful of alligators for that reason but I did not see any this morning. It was a beautiful morning over the bayou and I highly recommend visiting. There is also a nice garden across from the bayou.

When the Armand Bayou Nature Center is closed, the best opportunity to observe the magnificent natural park to the south is from Houston! You'll see lots of different birds and, if you're lucky, alligators too!
