Trails were well maintained. We initially tried to enter the north entrance of this park and even though it says the gates open at 630am, it was still locked. This was the first entrance we saw open. While not the most scenic routes I've been on in Florida, any trail is better than no trail, and wooded is better than paved, so we had fun. We only had time for two trails, if we're ever back in the area we'll try more.
Beaver Creek Trails have really set the bar high with their facilities! Well-maintained, easy-to-navigate trails are essential, but the addition of repair stations with tools, bike wash stations, changing rooms, and latrines goes above and beyond what most would expect. Those features would definitely make for a comfortable and convenient experience for both hikers and bikers. Would you recommend it for a casual outing, or is it more suited for serious cyclists?
Fun trail great for beginner mountain bikers! Dragon tail starts off fast with some small pumps and lumps and goes through a small pine forest. In the pines you'll pass an old murder van and then as you near the end there's two simple technical features that are pretty cool. No turtles on this trail this morning but plenty on Stage coach. For the fast guys out there please remember there are newbs and people walking on these trails. No need to get agitated when you come barreling up on one.
Love the mountain bike trails here. Just challenging enough.
Awesome park, with one exception: I've hiked and biked here many times. But I don't understand why E-Bikes are not allowed. They have no more affect on the trails than standard bikes, but they allow many more age groups (elderly) to enjoy biking too. Someone please explain....
