Beautiful comforting park. Looks like it's very dog friendly. Trails are nicely kept. Views and wildlife sounds are wonderful. Highly recommend for a quiet escape or a stress relieving walk.

Beckenholdt Park was a last minute discovery to kill a little time. This park was designed around a controlled swamp with piers, bridges and benches in an around it and connected by its trails. There’s a covered area for special events that looks over the swamp. There were public restrooms and plenty of parking. A dog park is available for members only. The girls loved the swamp so much that they went swimming to cool off. While waiting for the swamp monsters to dry I met this kind young couple by the names of Winston and Mable. Winston gave me a history lesson of how the park came to be. I wish I had the ability to recite it all but even if I could it would be too much to write on Google Maps. In short, the park property was donated to the city by a local woman for a park to be built. Winston went on to explain how his family was involved in the community. We also discussed other interests which to my surprise we were mostly in common with. The time came for us to go our separate ways but they will always have a place in my heart as well as Beckenholdt Park.

What a beautiful park! Neat walking trails, with information on native trees and tree signage. Cool bird Information presentation with bird characteristics, maps where they might be seen, and other info. Park was really well maintained. Bathrooms were clean and had soap and running water. Parking seemed ample. The pay for use dog park was disappointing as a traveling driving through with dogs, otherwise top notch park. 👌

This is a really cool spot, just off I-70. Plenty of trails (both paved and grass). None of them are long, but we chained them together to get a nice 2 mile walk total. My kids enjoyed the tree trail, and I really liked seeing the wetlands area. There are covered picnic tables, restrooms, water fountains (but weren’t operating on 4/14/22). The fishing pond is a decent size, too! We’ll be back to fish when it isn’t so windy. There is a good sized dog park, but you need to pay for it. We will be back!

Several short paved trails and a loop through the grass which was an adventure for the kids! Small pond with a few fishing spots, a dog park and bathrooms with stalls and running water! Also, this trail is wheelchair accessible since the paths are paved and there is not much in the way of hills. Gorgeous scenery with lots of bees, butterflies and informative signs about the fauna and flora!
