It used to be a beautiful place to go to enjoy yourself until the police started harassing people and not letting people sit out there doing the day. They keep the bathrooms locked up all day long. I like to know where is the picnic area is at . There is only one picnic bench out there and it's way in the back. When I used to stay out there because I was homeless it was a nice place to go until the police went to running everybody out. If you are sitting out there by yourself and the police see you sitting out there by yourself they want to know what you are doing out there when the park is open. Like I said it used to be a beautiful place to go to. When they moved the football teams somewhere else the park went down.
We play futbol here early Saturday mornings... The vibe, atmosphere, people and the energy is One Love. Great park for the family, friends and animals.
I love the convenient location of this park, but amenities are sorely lacking! There one little piece of playground equipment and some picnic benches. That's it. The main attraction from what I can see is the football/soccer field, which gets the most use. There is not much parking, so on game days traffic and parking are a nightmare!! Unfortunately there is no room to expand the park or add any more equipment, as that would encroach on the field. There are lots of shade trees, so in summer it's at least bearable to be out there.
Lovely park. It has plenty of space, ideal for my son to ride his bike. It has a huge field where you can play a soccer game and also practice American football.
It's more of playing field than a park but it is well kept and great for exercise. The playground, I'm sure is to keep the smaller kids entertained during games before it was ever considered a full playground. It's still playground.
