Saw the little park and stopped to walk our little Shih Tzu and Chihuahua. Had dog areas, different sport, play areas, even tennies area with many middle age people playing and enjoying. Pleasant people. It was really nice!

Nice small park. Off leash hours are limited dawn until 9am. Nice playground for all ages and a seasonal creek. If you're coming while the creek is running, bring a change of clothes for the kids, they will get messy.

Big Rock Park in Santee reflects the city’s park design philosophy, which includes a kids’ play area, community recreation activities, and walking paths. The park has a lively pickleball community, is a popular spot for birthday celebrations, and offers a safe, enjoyable atmosphere. An added bonus is the seasonal creek that flows during the rainy months. The park also connects to Mission Trails, with routes that lead to the summit of Cowles Mountain. These trails are less crowded than the main summit route but still offer a challenging and rewarding hike. I’ve been visiting this park for years and definitely recommend stopping by if you’re in the area

Every time that I come to this park, it brings me my childhood memories. The pickleball players are friendly and welcoming to beginners. Had my birthday party here and the landscape was so pretty. Definitely coming back to try the off leash with my dog!

Such a great park. It is large with a cute creek running through the side. It has several play structures, a large grassy area, basketball and pickleball courts, plenty of picnic benches and restrooms. The parking lot can fill up at peak times, however street parking can be found on both sides of the park.
