I invite anyone with control of a pet dog to enjoy a beautiful afternoon with us locals at our dog park. The community here makes this place my favorite park to have fun with my dog thumbs 👍😁 🐕 a big thanks the City of Oak Ridge for this place and taking care of it as well. The place is not dirty or muddy like some can be

The people here are very friendly, always a plus when visiting somewhere with your fur babies 😊. Very large, very clean fenced in both small and big dogs sides. Trails, fields, and playgrounds around as well.

Saw that .8 mile trail starts behind dog park and comes out at the soccer field. Within first 5 minutes (marker 1) saw a deer come out of woods beside me and splash across the creek and exit on the other side. Trail to marker 2 was wet with fresh deer tracks. Right before marker 3 saw a heron glide in to land on creek. But at marker 3 the trail was so overgrown & barely visible that I turned around and went back the way I came.

The dog part is really nice, there are two sections for small and normal sized dogs. However, the trail is not very good. It's very hard to even tell where it begins/ends, and it is very narrow and rocky at certain parts, almost like they forgot about it. I did manage to get a couple good photos through the trail though.

I love it here and so do my kids. It's one of the smaller playgrounds in the area but it's not often crowded. I love that I'm able to keep an eye on them from most any point and they love to climb, run, and slide all around. There are also fields so its ideal to bring a ball or frisbee for the older kids.
