I spent a few hours at Bill Frederick Park during a visit to Orlando, and it was a really pleasant experience. The park is tucked away, so it has a more peaceful, nature-filled vibe compared to some of the busier spots in the area. There’s a nice mix of open spaces, wooded areas, and a lake, which made it feel like a true escape without leaving the city. I took a walk around the trails, which were easy to follow and gave me a nice view of the water and wildlife. It’s the kind of place where you can get away from the hustle and bustle and just enjoy the fresh air. There’s also a small playground, picnic areas, and even spots to fish, so it seems like a great place for families or anyone just looking to relax outdoors. The park also has a good amount of parking and is fairly well-maintained, so it felt comfortable to hang out. I didn’t spend too much time on the water, but I saw plenty of people enjoying kayaking and fishing. Overall, Bill Frederick Park was a nice surprise — a peaceful, natural spot to get some fresh air, take a walk, or have a quiet picnic. Definitely worth checking out if you’re in the area and looking for a low-key outdoor escape.

Played the original disc golf course here. I can’t say enough about this park. I was in town for my kid’s volleyball tournament and took a free morning to play a round. I happily paid the $5 to enter because the place was practically empty on a Friday Morning. The park itself is well maintained and beautiful. There is ample parking and a lot of restrooms. There are 2 disc golf courses. The one I played was a little easier but still a good challenge. Nice fairways with decent hazards. The rough could be difficult if you get too deep. We saw two Gopher Tortoises!

I spent an afternoon at Bill Frederick Park, and it was really relaxing. The park has plenty of open space, trails, and a small lake that makes it feel peaceful. I enjoyed walking around and watching people fish and boat. It’s a nice spot to get outside, have a picnic, or just enjoy some quiet time away from the city.

This is a really nice park and would be actually a great place if it wasn’t right next to the turnpike. It is a large multi-functional, family-friendly park. There are several facilities available including pavilions, grills, disc golf volleyball, playgrounds, swimming, fishing, and even a drone course. There’s a bike path, a nature path and a small animal farm where you can see a turkey, chickens, and maybe a variety of other animals. There are cabins (assuming for rent) and a spot for small RVs and trailers. The park includes several restrooms which are very clean. The disc golf course is extensive and likely a bit difficult as it meanders through several wooded areas and even one hole across the water. The park has several pavilions varying in size. Most have parking nearby, however several will require you to hoof your goods a little distance. This is a great place for a family or larger gathering. Two dollar entry fee. Dogs allowed on leash and there are several pet sanitary stations.

We had our cub scout winter campout here. It was perfect! The group campground is right on the lake near some primitive cabins and indoor pavilion 5. Perfect for a pack or troop with mixed ages & mixed experience with camping and with winter weather there was heat available. During the day, the park offers field trip experiences as well. The park arraigned a tour of the children's farm, provided a bird house building activity, and helped us enjoy the playground with an education activity. The park is so clean and well cared for. The only negatives was the road noise by the group camping, but really it just provided white noise as we slept. And the mens campground restroom had some plumbing issues, but they immediately responded.
