I did not do trails went for the canopy walk, it is short but did not disappoint! There are a bunch of steps, however for those who have medical/physical limitations there is an elevator. The environment is serene and beautiful, amazing as it is in the middle of a large bustling community! There are trails, which are well maintained, and offers ability to work out while getting your cardio on, there is a playground area for the kids, overall I highly recommend!!

Blacklick Woods Metro Park is always a wonderful park to go to. I have went to this park since my parents first took me. I continued to take my children there and even my grandchildren. This park has always had a wonderful nature center. The nature Center has changed inside and out for the better. They offer activities inside as well as outside. You can watch animals from the inside of the nature Center as well as outside walking and driving through the park. Outside of the nature center they made a wonderful area with a tractor, large turtle replicas, there are chairs around the fire pit and a bulletin board that tells about upcoming events. Recently Blacklick Woods added a canopy walk approximately 40 to 55 ft in the air and approximately 660 ft in walking boardwalk area, rope Bridges, cargo nets and a treehouse area as well as it has elevator to help ensure everyone gets up and down. Please however make sure that you wear proper footwear because you cannot go up without proper footwear which most people don't realize as well as call or check on the website to make sure hours of operation. With at least 6 miles of trails within the park for bicycling, walking jogging and animal watching. With an additional 16 adjacent miles along Blacklick Creek that connect to other parks "Blacklick Creek Greenway trails". They also have a exercise area up front on the right hand side across from a large parking area. I would highly recommend this park to anyone and everyone. Make sure when you're there in the nature center that you pick up one of the Park passport book for you and your family or yourself so it can be stamped when you travel from park to park.

This park has been a wonderful refuge for decades, but the addition of the Canopy Walk last year has brought a new element of fun. It’s a boardwalk 40 feet in the air, with a giant cargo net, rope bridges, treehouse and fire pole. You can walk up the staircase at your own pace, and there’s an elevator for those unable (or unwilling) to use the steps. If you’re going to the park, head to the parking lot for the nature center and you’ll see it. Enjoy the spectacular views!

Great metro park, the canopy is really cool and handicap accessible which I thought was amazing! Perfect free activity for the family. The lower trail is also a very easy hike and great for people of all ages!

If you want a reason to come out to Blacklick Woods metro parks, I am out on a run during a snow storm and even though it hasn’t stopped snowing they are out plowing the trails. If that’s not dedication to the public people that use them then I don’t know what is. The plow literally Went by me while I type this.
