Where the Forest Breathes and the River Moves
Bonnie Park in Strongsville is one of those timeless Metroparks spaces that carries a calm, magnetic energy. The sound of flowing water, the rich scent of the forest floor, and the open clearings create an environment that feels alive yet deeply grounding — perfect for Qi Gong, hiking, and breathwork practice.
Flow of Water, Strength of Earth
The East Branch of the Rocky River runs through this park like a living current of energy. When I practice here, the flow of the river mirrors the rhythm of the breath — steady, cleansing, and constant. The Earth beneath your feet feels strong and ancient, inviting rooted stances and slow, deliberate movement.
A Space for Practice and Presence
Bonnie Park offers open fields, wooded trails, and shaded spaces where you can move freely without distraction. It’s one of those rare places where you can transition seamlessly from hiking into stillness — from motion into meditation.
Why It’s Worth Visiting
If you’re looking for a place to recharge, breathe, and move with the natural elements, Bonnie Park offers it all. It’s not just a park — it’s a living classroom for Fire, Earth, Air, and Water to meet within you.

Bonnie Park is a nice smaller park which has restrooms, plenty of picnic tables and grills. Currently the park is undergoing an ecological restoration and site improvement project. If you like hiking off path, just a little walk from the park you can pick up one of many bridal trails in the area.
