I love this place. More importantly, so does my dog Jill. She gets so excited when she realizes she is going there—usually in the car a mile or so away. We go to Bosly’s for private play, social play and some training classes (great nose work class) and regularly attend their events. The people are so nice and incredibly accommodating. It’s a treasure to have such an engaging and safe place to spend special time with Jill.

We bought our 10 year dog to Bosly's Backyard and she had the time of her life!! It's a great, safe place for dogs & their owners to enjoy one-on-one time together! There's zero fear of interactions with other dogs, PLUS, it's indoors so the elements of the weather are not a factor. Staff is extremely welcoming & kind. We can't wait to go back!!

I booked some time for my dog, Tank, a while back. We had a great experience. He was obsessed with the ball pit and got all his zoomies out. They even had a little adorable fall themed photo op area. I would definitely recommend Bosley’s Backyard as a great place to build a bond with your pup.

Bosly’s Backyard is Tilly’s favorite place in the entire city. We celebrate her birthday there every year, and the second we say “Bosly’s” she loses her mind with excitement. From the tennis ball pit to the tunnels and obstacle courses, it is truly her little slice of heaven where she can run, explore, and just be a dog. Living in the city, having a place like this where she can safely run free is everything. Kim is incredible. She has taken the time to really get to know Tilly and all of the dogs, and it shows in every detail. You can feel how much she cares, and that kind of trust is priceless as a dog parent. Bosly’s is not just a play space, it is part of Tilly’s life, and part of our traditions. We are so grateful for it. 🐾🎾

I loved the space, but unfortunately felt very judged by the attendant at the desk. While I noted in the booking, on the phone before entering, and announced verbally at arrival, that both my dogs are stranger reactive, the attendant stayed in the room. All she asked was if they would jump over the desk, to which I told her ‘no’ which is true. I also mentioned it was good exposure for my pups. My one dog was jumping up at the desk a few times, he was not trying to jump over, but it definitely looks like it and is scary as he is barking & lunging. Obviously the attendant does not know my dog, but my dog has never jumped at a person over a barrier to get to them, so I knew he would not jump over, as I told her. I understand why she was frightened, but I feel the situation could have been handled more compassionately & professionally. I have worked professionally with dogs for over 10 years and currently work at a facility which specializes in reactive dogs. Please note, safety & comfort are my top priority, which is why I mentioned their reactivity several times before arriving for my time slot. I even told the attendant after we were already in the playroom, that if it would make her more comfortable of course she can step out and I wont be offended, and she reassured me it was OK as long as he wont jump over the desk. After another instance of him barking, lunging & jumping at the desk, the attendant was clearly scared and uncomfortable and told me to get him. I never want anyone to be uncomfortable with my dogs, but my issue is with the response. At no point did the attendant say ‘it was okay’ or ‘they understand reactivity’ or anything alike. She just remained clutching her things, with her chair scooted back away from the desk, looking terrified & judgemental. Once I was able to leash him up, I was told to take them both to the exit door while the attendant exited the space. I then proceeded to cry for 20 minutes, and only actually played in/used the space for 10 minutes. While I know my emotions can only be controlled by me, I wanted to stress the need for more education/training to all staff members at Bosly’s Backyard, regarding reactivity. I felt extremely judged. I texted the number to ask if I could extend my reservation and then received a call from the attendant to say I could not extend the time due to availability. I understand this and did not argue, but mentioned that it was because I had wasted 20 mins crying due to feeling judged and when I informed her of this, I really only got a canned response regarding general staff- something along the lines of “we are used to reactive dogs” and “usually the owner comes in first so we can leave the room before the dogs come in”. I felt blamed when she told me this, as if I had done something wrong. When I arrived, I called the attendant before entering regarding entrance instructions & parking, and she told me to come in and wipe my shoes and my dogs paws- she did not tell me to leave them in the car first before entering… I even reminded her on this phone call that they were reactive and she assured me she would not be at the door when entering… Again, I loved the space, and the 10 minutes I actually used it for was super fun. Overall, the experience was very disappointing and I’m walking away feeling judged and like it was a waste of money. I believe if you are accepting dogs with stranger reactivity, the staff member should have a good understanding of what reactivity is, and how much people’s reactions to reactivity can impact the dogs & owners negatively. I haven't decided if I’m going to come back… Unfortunately I do not recall the name of the attendant, but definitely was not a good indication of the dog behavior knowledge of the staff..
