Great trails for a leisurely walk. A few offshoot paths have stairs and some decent elevation, especially around the shack. Great for kids and dogs. Picnic area at the start of trailhead and restrooms during season.

Boyden Park is the most inspiring and diverse park that I've ever visited. It offers a lake, short trails, long trails, open fields, thickets, picnic tables, boulders, boardwalks, bridges, and stairs winding up, down, around the hills, and along the water. The park is a romantic getaway, a meditation center, a family picnic, or, perhaps, the source for the Great American novel.

This is my favorite spot in the area for taking my dogs on trail walks. The walking paths are clear and well-maintained. I appreciate the variety of trails available; there are some shorter paths for when I'm pressed for time, as well as a three-mile dam trail for longer walks.

Beautiful entrance but unfortunately that's all I got to see. I didn't realize you had to hike a bit and only had some time during my lunch break to kill. Would love to see what lies beyond with the trails. I didn't research it much before I went. But to pull in and park.. you won't be seeing much. But there are trails heading in all directions that lead to what appears to be Beautiful areas!

I saw at least a dozen dogs, and ALL were LEASHED!!!! Thank you Taunton!!! You have no idea how amazing it is for someone medically fragile (I have Ehlers Danlos Syndrome, which is like brittle bone syndrome except it’s my ligaments and tendons, not my bones, which are fragile) to be able to FREELY enjoy the park!!!! The quiet and fresh air were so so refreshing, and I wouldn’t have come if even one dog had been off leash (friendly dogs are the reason I dislocated my hip). So so grateful for dog parents who share the space, and show respect! This place has plenty of parking, a large picnic area, a children’s garden, and a variety of trails and restrooms (though those close around 4pm, while the park is open later). There’s even a bird conservation area when you enter, and it is so peaceful. I couldn’t make it the 1.5 miles in, but maybe I’ll work up to it as my body heals. Not flinching with anxiety every time a dog appears will help that. THANK YOU dog parents !!! Thank you park for enforcing this necessary measure!!!
