Very active and friendly pickleball community. Costs $2 to play. Venmo payment accepted. Balls provided. Portable nets are used and up 10 courts can be set up. Court surfaces are fine but the variety of lines can be confusing at first. There is bathroom in the adjacent community/youth center but that building was locked 3 of 4 times I’ve played there.

Lovely large and inviting space. Seems just for the neighborhood folk and park affecionado. Zooming down Shattuck, you might miss bushrod park. Get out of your car or just park your bike. Stretch out and relax at another beautiful space!

This park may look non-descript at first blush, but it is a historic spot where several future Major League Baseball players learned the game as kids, with the most notable being the late Rickey Henderson, the all-time leader in runs scored and stolen bases (a record unlikely to ever be broken)

Relatively large suburban park. Basketball court, baseball diamond, soccer fields play structure. Reasonably clean. Certainly not bad by Oakland standards :-) Parking not too bad but very busy.

The porta- potties were open, and the portable sink too. My 1st visit to Bushrod Park was excellent! There is plenty of parking in the lot / street. Quick trip from San Leandro/ Oakland border
