This was my first time at San Clemente, I plan on coming back more now I see how amazing this place is. My only regret was not being able to stay longer. I will be back though, they got very nice campground and views of the Pacific Coast.

I love this beach and hope they bring back the sand. The beach has been eroded away quite a bit so there's very little sand and places to relax. I did hear that San Clemente was going to revitalize the beaches and replenish the sand so hopefully that takes place here. Cool spot definitely worth the visit

Calafia State Beach is one of my favorite spots in San Clemente! Having the state beach parking pass makes it even better since parking is completely free — such a nice perk when you come often. The beach itself is super easy to access, with a convenient trail that leads right down to the sand. It’s clean, relaxed, and has that classic SoCal vibe without feeling overcrowded. The waves are beautiful to watch, and the sand is soft and perfect for laying out or taking a walk at sunset. One of the best parts is staying later into the evening — you can actually see the stars once it gets dark, which feels so peaceful and special. Whether it’s a quick afternoon trip or a quiet night under the sky, Calafia never disappoints. 🌊✨

Beautiful beach park with clean facilities and plenty of open space to relax and enjoy the ocean view. Perfect for families — there’s lots of room for kids to play and safe walking areas. The atmosphere is peaceful and not too crowded during weekdays. Parking was easy and the sunset view was amazing. Definitely a great spot to spend a relaxing day by the ocean.

Beautiful views. The free trolley stops here during the summer, 7 days a week, and will take you to the pier. Times very per day.
