I've had to complain to Jenny Mobley (Cincinnati Parks COO) several times about the speed of employees and park visitors throughout California Woods. The first time she sent some copy and paste apology, the second time I got an automatic response that she wouldn't be in office until February of...2024... Not sure what that's about, but I never heard back the second time. This doesn't include the many times I've said nothing about how dangerous they allow our parks to be (when it comes to driving). California Woods is a two-way one lane road. Many blindspots, nowhere to go when another vehicle is coming head on. Today while there at the end of an event, employees screamed (in a "joking" manner) for an employee to slow down. Maybe it was just coincidence that I was walking by them, but I highly doubt it was. Apparently wanting our parks to be safe gets you laughed at? Speed bumps, more visible signs, something would be nice to get people to slow down. But our parks do not care about our communities, and they continue to prove it daily. TO BE CLEAR, this is just about the speed of vehicles. Our parks are clean and safe otherwise.

Very cool area with running water, lots of cool bridges as well as multiple trailheads. Parking can be an issue and there is only one 1 way lane to get into the area, so be prepared to have to squeeze your car over to let others get by. Also, check out that shack. Jason voorhees definitely lives there.

California Woods is easily one of Cincinnati’s best kept secrets. The fact that it contains a pristine tract of old growth forest makes it feel completely different from other parks in the area, the trees are massive and the atmosphere is so peaceful. The Nature Center itself is charming and informative, and the trails offer a perfect escape into nature. It’s quiet, scenic, and absolutely stellar.

Nice place with lot of hiking trails ranging from 0.6 miles till 1.6 miles. Can go with kids. No dogs allowed. There is no entry fees to visit the park. Open every day from dawn to dusk except the days when the creek flowing in park is flooding the road

A lovely place to walk, relax, and escape the noise and blazing sun. The only inconvenient thing is that they only have one entrance. It has free Wi-Fi and parking under the shade of the trees. The place is very nice, and no one bothers you.
