Where else can you hear a lion roaring while walking in the park? Im beyond thankful to have such a beautifully maintained local gem to walk my fearful dog. This is one of the few remaining public spaces where leash laws are fully respected. I greatly appreciate everyone keeping this a safe, fun, and special place for pets and people to enjoy in all seasons ❤️

Small but fun place to go. Very nice for young kids, they can see animals without getting tired. They have a small and nice cafe and a good amount of tables for public use. Restrooms are clean and spacious for ADA accommodations. Different bending machines are good to catch the moment with friends, a small carousel for young kids, for those who believe the journey is just as valuable as the destination, a photo booth for all ages offer video download for the moment and instant picture. In summer they open a water park. It is a very good price to have fun and enjoy a memorable time with your family.

THANK YOU dog owners for leashing your dogs, as this made me safe. I felt free to roam here, and children played and people read books and birds sang! Plenty of parking. Wide green spaces and also playground area. Walkways around the green spaces are fully paved and super smooth. The walkway through is bumpy and unpaved.

Capron Park Zoo has been a major part of my family for as many years as I can remember. My children spent many days visiting the zoo..long before it was improved upon. We love this beautiful gem in our city and all the memories of time spent here. Our grandchildren also enjoy the zoo and it's educational programs they attended and special events.I feel we are so blessed to have such a peaceful park and zoo for folks to enjoy.
