I was introducing my dog to this Park and most of the people were doing there own things. I felt like an intruder till one gentleman came in and help me understand how to do it the correct way so she and others would be safe

Carmichael Park is huge, with so many amenities. Baseball field, tennis courts, basketball courts, bocce court, dog parks and dog training structures, trails, fire pits and benches, Veteran's Memorial Building, Community Clubhouse, kids playgrounds, and more. For safety purposes, the parks roads have some drain off dips and bumps that will take some skin off your car underneath, so drive safe and slow throughout the parking lot.

This is a great place to socialize your dog. We adopted a rescue that wouldn't get into our car for anything, but we've slowly been training him by driving to this dog park and now he knows going in the car means he's going somewhere fun and hops right in without any effort. The other dog owners are always super friendly and he gets to socialize with their friendly dogs as well. If you have kids there is also a playground close by that can be viewed from the dog park (only recommended for independent kids that don't need constant supervision close by).

Two very large fenced in areas, one for big dogs, one for little dogs. Lots of pups with their people. I just walked past them on my way to the farmers market, but noticed the humans gathered together enjoying each other's company as much as the canines were enjoying each other. Fun for all.

Never a dull moment at this place. My only real complaint is that the gates and the fencing could use an update. As a Dog Mom, it's pretty easy to see the difference between pet owners and pet parents. This is definitely a place for pet parents. As an area transplant (my family and I just moved up to Orangevale in October... almost everyone has been SO wonderful), I keep looking for places that make my fam (dogs included!) feel welcome. Carmichael Park is definitely one of them!
