It's a wonderful free nature park. It's very serene walking through it. It's not large & overwhelming. When you pull into the parking lot, you will see tons of huge magnificent boulders that children & adults love to climb on. The paths are clean & very easy to walk on. There is a beautiful little lake in there. They have beautful boardwalk to look over the lake. No swimming. I never saw anyone fishing. You can walk your dogs on a leash. There are bathrooms. People can have a little picnic if they like. I didn't see barbecue grills. It's not a large parking where you can get lost. It's just very clean & peaceful. There are also benches around to sit on. There is a large parking lot right there. It's the huge boulders that are such a fascinating & unexpected unique look that you will see when you first drive in. It never feels crowded. You might see a lot of cars in the lot but it never seems crowded when walking in the nature park.

Beautifully maintained. Decent area to walk around in the woods. Love the stone park up front. Kids would love this place! 👍

It's so beautiful here. I've taken my dog Estelle & also my cat Eartha Kitty here as well. There are benches in shaded areas where you can enjoy the view. I've only recently moved to Michigan but this was a lovely park.

Beautiful park with well maintained trails and scenic views of Carpenter Lake. Part of the trail near the dam is under construction so that was disappointing. Great picnic area and clean facilities. Boulder garden is fun to explore.

This park is a gem with the unique boulder garden, path through the forest featuring a great variety of trees including sassafras and hornbeam, and lakeside boardwalk. Dogs ok on leash but no bikes.
