Beautiful landscape and trails that are a pretty easy walk around the lake with gorgeous views. Cool old buildings and plaques with information on the history of the property and life in the 1880s. Cute farm animals that's are just friendly.

What a lovely place to spend the day, solo or as a couple or a family! Beautiful and so much to experience. The staff here is incredible, all super sweet and full of so much wisdom to share! Animals, rope making, blacksmithing, and so much more. Trails galore, a horse draw buggy ride around the farm, a great place for an outing. Check out there events all year round!

There are several reasons to come here, the reception center is awesome. But the pond is my favorite! It’s catch and release, no license needed. They have sun fish, bass, cat, frogs galore, turtles, and much more wildlife. The dock is best for the sun fish bluegill. They also have trails to walk, summer be careful if you bring a pet, there are ticks here! Penny cans at the reception center, and horse trails.

I love the barn dance, it is family friendly, lots of fun for all ages. The heritage teachings with baked bread, taffy making, and cooking the hugh pot of beans outside on an open fire for all to enjoy! Teaching how woodworking was back then as well as blacksmithing. My son, and grandson was able to make spin tops! They loved the hands on, and the tops! And the animals! Beautiful love seeing the animals. And how they used them in the fields. Also horse back riding is fun. It has been years since I have been, only because I do not live in this state. Carriage hills park has made great memories. I truly miss going to this park. This metropark is beautiful and the trails are well groomed and easy to hike! There is excellent signage on the trails and I love that you can easily shorten or extend your hike. It is also a great place for a photo shoot or to practice with your camera 📷. The animals were a fun bonus on a visit as well 😊
