Carson River Park is a great place to start a nice walk to the Mexican damn . You can also access the Silver saddle ranch from there,also a great place to take the dogs out or just get into nature and clear your head.

Great, easy, walking trails for pups and kids. Always a nice stroll along the river.

Great place for nature walks, horses, dogs and fishing.

Great easy hike, flat. Beware of coyotes especially if you have a dogs. Dogs love the water but make sure it's slow and shallow. Some parts are better to let your dog play.

The first time I was there but the locals said the river is it's highest in 30 years. A lot of paths were washed out but it's a beautiful walk along the river and some cow pastures.
