Two well maintained and big/small dog parks in the Cary downtown area. Our dog (golden doodle) does have a great time playing and running with friendly dogs in the big park. This park is in the center of the downtown park. There are great food and drink options in the area. Often times, there are a variety of food trucks in the evenings. During summer months, there’s farmers market saturday AM. The park does require a paid membership but it is for your dog’s safety as they verify the vaccination records. The membership does include access to two other Cary dog parks. Check them out for a different experience.

This model does not strengthen communities; it creates barriers. Dog parks are among the lowest-cost amenities for a city to maintain, especially when compared to other recreational infrastructure. With the exception of the Downtown Cary Dog Park—which offers features that could arguably justify a fee—most others consist of little more than fencing and a natural grass or mulch field. Public spaces should be accessible to the public. Charging residents to use BASIC amenities undermines that principle.

Absolutely beautiful park. Was in town visiting my daughter and grandpup and spent the afternoon here. We had a blast. Very clean. Lots to do. There's even a bar and store on site! Highly recommend! The library is also right there as well as a cute little restaurant!

Great place to take a dog. The people are friendly and surrounding park is fun. Reviewers should not rate poorly for the park requiring a pass. Annual dues are very reasonable considering the benefits if regular park visits. It also ensures that dogs visiting the park are vaccinated.

Great park. Most owners are well in control of their dogs. Facilities are well maintained. Mulch flooring helps with muddy areas Good community of people visiting, but still lots of room for playtime
