I moved back to this neighborhood where I spent a large part of my childhood. I LOVE Cedar Rose Park. It has picnic tables and grills for barbeques. It has two separate playgrounds for children. It has a very large grass field that is sometimes used for playing sports or hosting events such as movie nights in the park. There's plenty of room for a lot of people. Across the street there are tennis and pickleball courts. And across the opposite street there are basketball courts. I used to love sneaking out at night and running through the grass and sprinklers when I was a little kid.

my friend and I have a great racquetball game over there on Friday it was great for so many people play each other and it’s really clean. It’s very safe. You can reserve the field or you can stay to get empty so you can play. that’s not a big deal. people who play there it was friendly.

Cedar Rose Park is a popular park for families and groups. It is a large open green space along the Ohlone Greenway, best suited for laying in the sun or casually meeting up with friends. On the Rose Street side, there are two tennis courts and four pickleball courts. On the other side of Cedar Street (in Crystol Red Park), there is also a basketball court and racquetball court. Cedar Rose contains two small playgrounds for toddlers and young children. The park is popular with dog owners due to the large lawn. There is one grill and picnic area on the main lawn that is usually occupied. There are also a couple of extra picnic tables near the Cedar Street playground. Most parkgoers tend to picnic and play in the main lawn. There is one single-occupant bathroom structure located on the Cedar Street side.

a review from @amom2kidsandapark This Berkeley park is one of the many parks and green areas along the Ohlone Greenway, a walking/biking,running path that starts all the way down near downtown Berkeley and connects with the Richmond Greenway Trail in Richmond. This park offers two playgrounds, a grass area, picnic benches with bbq, basketball, tennis and volleyball court, a small amphitheater, and sidewalks for biking and walking. The grassy area is really sunny as most trees are on the outer rim. The larger play area has a structure, standard swings, and a tire swing. The structure has two slides (a double and a spiral), steps, ladders, a bridge, and activities. The smaller play area is completely enclosed and has a large bridge with tunnels underneath, a play structure, a teeter totter, a climbing turtles a swing set with two buckets swings and a standard swings and steps that lead to nothin (😅 seriously why are they there??). The structure is made of wood and has two slides (a tube and a double), steps and a very low inclined climbing wall. This area is perfect for toddlers! There are bathrooms here and street parking was easy. The different sports areas are separate from the grassy area and play areas. You’ll have to cross a street to get to them. This park had a lot of day “campers” but nothing felt that made us uncomfortable.

Who doesn't love an open space park in your neighborhood! So many to choose from. A great pathway here beckons walkers or cyclists heading north or south. Scene from a walk Tuesday afternoon. Plenty of space to stop/floop/chill....
