Some recent improvements at the playground side of the park to mention, including new playground equipment for the kids, disk golf course cleanup for the grown-up kids, and lakeside path planking roof cover, beneath the coot’s nest’s. The latter may also serve as refuge in a sudden downpour, if it ever rains! There was also a sign posted outside the Shipley Nature Center showing the open hours on Fridays and Saturdays 9 am - 1 pm.

Small playground near dog park, located in Central Park perimeter. Swings located on tar ground next to the playground slide aimed for ages 2-5 years and a larger slide likely for ages 6-10yrs. Bathrooms are located within a few hundred feet and parking in this area tends to be available.

Very cool playground, rope course, dig pit for the little ones , swings , and attached to a nice pretty park with a lakeside view.

Nice large park. The closest parking lot was small but there was street parking where we went on the east side by the cafe and largest lake. The playground was big and there was LOTS of kids playing all over and the kids still were able to run around and play without being too cramped. There is lots of duck poop around, watch your step! Large/wide walking paths for kids to roller skate or rollerblade and/or ride bikes. We did go on Memorial Day so that could be why it seemed extra busy. But it was still very enjoyable. Lots of open space and trees too. Bring some chairs, not many places to sit.
