Huge park with a massive lake. Decent fishing and the 74th annual BBQ was impressively large

For years, I used to take my doggo here, plenty of access to mosey around the lake, and gathering areas, and a well maintained dog park. Nowadays, I use the kids area for my 18-month-old. It's really captivating to his attention, and he does well here with close supervision. After playing in the playground, we usually watch the ducks swim by before leaving. During summer months, definitely get here before 10, or even 9 am, because the metal equipment heats up fast. * we frequent here at least monthly

Went fishing for a bit took the nephew out for some air. Water was to open. You can lose a kid in that water because no railing around. Especially a 2 yr old wanting to explore.

Caesar Chavez Park in Laveen is a great local spot that offers a peaceful escape with a beautiful lake, open green spaces, and a fun playground for kids. One of the highlights for me is feeding the ducks by the lake. The ducks are friendly and always seem ready for a little snack, which makes it a delightful experience, especially if you’re with family or young kids. Aside from feeding the ducks, the park also has good walking trails and plenty of shade, which makes it enjoyable even on warmer days. There are also several picnic areas, so it’s easy to spend a full day here. The park is well-maintained, clean, and feels safe, with a good mix of people enjoying everything from fishing to flying kites. It’s a perfect spot for a relaxed day outdoors!
