This park is nestled behind a residential neighborhood in Florissant. This park does not have much to offer but a 1 mile loop hiking trail. There are no bathrooms or playgrounds. It is a very small area. The hiking trail is nice but a bit overgrown in areas. During your hike, you will cross a short sturdy bridge that currently has no water underneath. During my hike guy spotted a deer off in the distance who just followed me with its head as I walked past. I also saw a small snake on the trail that just slithered on through. This trail has a feel that you’re in the woods, even though you’re right behind homes. Overall, this is a very nice and secluded hiking trail that needs a little love with trimming.

This is a wonderful hiking trail! Wooded, very shady, quiet. The path is mostly smooth but there are some rough spots for a small challenge. The walking path is small, just wide enough for 1 person. Some areas were overgrown but mostly it was beautiful. There is a big field to walk around with tons of flowers and stays mowed on the paths. We went in the afternoon and stayed in the shade until the field and stayed relatively cool. Would classify it as a nice beginning hikers walk.

Beautiful hike on this fall day. Not a difficult hike. Very scenic. We were thankful the falling leaves had covered the trail making it walkable. It had rained a couple days before.

Nice place for a hike. Some parts of the trail are challenging and not stroller friendly 😉

Wilderness park. No bathrooms, no water, no paved trails. Trails are steep in places. Great place to be in the woods without having to leave the city. Rarely see other humans, but lots of birds, squirrel and deer. You may spot the occasional coyote or raccoon, but tracks for both are common. Beautiful wild meadow trail on one side of the park, best in spring or in fall during the butterfly migration. And the occasional relic of the past from before the land was given to the country (see photo).
