I recently boarded my dog at CHS DH. It was Labor Day weekend so it was definitely busy when I first got there. I was a bit thrown off by how loud it was but the workers reminded me that holidays are just busier. I noticed that the dogs are kept in crate like spaces which isn’t mentioned on their site. However, the dogs I saw looked comfortable! They also let you bring stuff from home. I made sure to bring my dog a blanket, and some toys which definitely helped. After leaving him there, I was a bit nervous so I messaged their Facebook page to see if they could update me on my dog. They answered immediately with feedback that could only come from someone keeping a good eye on my pup. They even sent me pictures! I felt so much better. When I picked him up the spot was super quiet! There was minimal barking. I was greeted very nicely and received feedback about my dogs stay there. He looks great and is super happy. CHS DH must have done something right for this pupper! I definitely will be back.

My family went away for the holidays for 5 days and could not bring our 6 month old lab pup, Zelda, so we decided to try this place. When we came back, Zelda was EMACIATED, skiddish and fearful as if she’d been hit. All of her ribs are exposed. We called to bring this to their attention and receive a refund for this egregious lack of care but they just said she had been getting a lot of exercise… I’ve had plenty of dogs and that’s just a ridiculous reasoning for why our precious puppy became like this. I’ll never know what truly happened but I know she was neglected severely. Our family is so upset by this. She has an appointment with our vet for this reason and has been given multiple extra meals to get her back to where she was. Save your money and your sanity. They will not care for your beloved pets.

Regarding Zelda’s stay: The claim that Zelda was underfed is simply not true and can be substantiated by her vet records. We were not told on the phone that she was underfed, just that she had been more active. If either were the case, it was observed by your staff that she was losing weight due to activity. Lots of play is great, but we should have at least been contacted to discuss altering her food portions for the duration of her stay if you saw there was a clear health implication. We’ve boarded dogs before for varying periods of time and don’t feel this is too much to have expected. Any communication at all would have avoided this.

Love this place. My pup is always excited to go to daycare. They play with her so much. They have camera so you can check in on the play areas. Their system is easy to use to book services. Every month they take pictures and post them on the boards. It’s fun to see all the pups. The staff is friendly and knows the dogs.

Love the webcams! It's nice to see your pups playing. Safe place for a puppy vacation, while you're on vacation. 2024: The Love and Compassion of this staff just gets better and better everytime my pups visit! They washed my dogs blanket, sent me home with a report card (so cute) and a sympathy card for my dog that just passed away. Absolutely LOVE this staff and the things they do for the pups and the owners! THANK YOU!!
