Nice big park plenty of room for activities. Restrooms, playing area walking track and more.

Very large grassy area with a walking track around it. It’s about 3/4 of a mile around, great for walking. A high number of unhoused people reside in this park, although I have never had an issue. They all seem to keep to themselves. Really pretty sunset of view of the mountains

I love Charlie Frias Park. It is enormous. There are soccer fields galore, a water play area, two separate playgrounds and an extensive jogging area used mostly by adults though you’ll enjoy seeing skate boarders and roller skaters practicing their tricks on them too. The foliage is absolutely beautiful and I have seen no Southern Nevada park that rivals it. The landscape is incredibly hilly as the park was built on a wash that carved out a mini Grand Canyon. In the most northern section of the park a group of men are working on a rock arrangement due west of the tennis courts on the Decatur side. Though the noises of the Las Vegas Strip cannot be heard at the park the beauty of its lights can be seen. They are mesmerizing. If you are lucky enough to be in the park at sunrise you’ll most likely see the beautiful hotels slowly lit up blue from behind. As quickly as that deep blue subsides to light blue the sky lights up pink then peach and seems to float above the city. Once every so often a cloud floats into our valley turning this surreal light show even more colorful. Last night’s rain showers brought with it low clouds that had the many colors of the various hotels and casinos reflecting off of them. This is something you will experience no where else in the world. For the most part the park visitors are kind and thoughtful about keeping the park clean as many walk to the park from their surrounding neighborhoods. Hungry but forgot your picnic? The park is directly across the street from a Jack in the Box, a Denny’s, a Papa John’s Pizza, a Starbucks, and several Rebel and 7/11 convenience stores and Gas Stations. Within walking distance are two grocery stores, a McDonald’s, Taco Bell, and Del Taco. There are several parking lots and even on the busiest soccer nights there is always parking. Dogs are welcome.

I'd give 5 stars but I'll tell you why not. I would like 2 choices for play areas for large and small dogs. So 6 areas right? Two resting for next weeks users. The reason is because when we got our dog in the large dog encloser, there were only two dogs in there and one, a dalmation, more black that white, immediately attacked my dog and his owner yelled for us to get out of here. If im not mistaken, his dog attacked mine and of course mine tried defending himself but as he jumped straight up in the air, lol, my husband caught him mid flight! And we did get out of there. Away from that not a bit of sense owner. I was appauled. What, because they were in there first, that excuses that kind of behaviour? SIR!! NOT!! We took our furriendly furry furriend to the small dog area as it was vacant.. what happened wasn't a pleasant situation or result, but it worked at the time.. thank you for reading my whaaaa whaaaa poor me story.. Nice but smaller areas for dogs to play. As large as it is out there they really could be larger play areas. Nice park and plenty of parking. Bring a bowl for your pets water.. I'll get you some photos next time im out there..
