Nice park had plenty of parking and open areas for kids to run around
This is a wonderful place that is ruined by people that think it's ok to allow their dogs off leash. This is not an off leash park or area. It is against the law and a danger to all to allow this to go on. Animal regulation has been notified, but doesn't respond. How can you truly know what even a trained animal might do? Bad place. I do NOT suggest going to this park or through the walkway up to it from Ponderosa to Amber.
Its ok but I wouldn't come back. Lots of more nicer parks in the area.
Charter Oaks Park is small neighborhood park, a good place to take the kids or the dog to let off steam. the park has swings, a play structure, a bench, a large open area on one side, but no bathrooms. What made it unique was the avenue of towering eucalyptus trees that formed a walk from Charter Oaks down to Las Posas Rd., but sadly the last time I looked they had been all cut down.
Good neighborhood park. No restrooms or drinking fountain. Very clean basketball court and large field. Playground is really for 4 and under. My 5 yr old is too big and I don't see kids older than 4 there.
