This is the best park in Louisville. Key times are fall and late spring. This is also an awesome place to run because you get good scenery and good elevation change If I’m not mistaken, the park was designed by the same person who designed Central Park in New York City

Always a great place for a run or walk with a family friendly environment. Not too much riff-raff but beware of vehicle traffic on loop hike especially with your kids or furry kids.

Beautiful trails with plenty to see. It's easy to get lost in here for hours. I love the fact that the wildlife doesn't mind your presence, allowing for some really nice pictures of deer. There are usually friendly dogs along the way with their walkers. Always stay alert, because some of the walking trails are shared with bikers, and they love to ride. Most have bells on their bikes to alert you, or they will give a friendly holler.

🌿 5-Star Review for Cherokee Park, Kentucky 🌿 Cherokee Park is truly a gem in the heart of Kentucky! From the moment you arrive, the natural beauty welcomes you with open arms. The scenic trails are perfect for walking, running, or simply enjoying a peaceful moment surrounded by trees, open fields, and streams. The bike trails are well-maintained and offer a fun, scenic ride for all skill levels. If you’re bringing your furry friend, the dog park is a hit spacious, clean, and filled with friendly faces (human and canine alike). Families will love the playground areas, and the picnic and barbecue spots are ideal for everything from a quiet lunch to a big birthday or family gathering. Whether you’re planning a solo nature walk, a casual day out, or a full-scale event, Cherokee Park offers the perfect backdrop. Clean, safe, and thoughtfully designed this park is an all-around win for outdoor lovers. Highly recommend!

Park is fantastic! Toilets and amenities not so much. Bathrooms are disgusting and have a forever urine stench thats surely permanent by now. The park grounds are magnificent and its a shame to see the park and amenities aren't better well kept. There was a triathlon happening during our visit. It was interstitial to see all thr people and participation. This is a great place for walking dogs even though some owners are clearly ignoring the leash rules.
