Great space for dogs and their people to enjoy. We went on New Year's day and there were a lot of people and dogs but it did not feel crowded.

I went out to investigate some Retriever training gear. They have great quality items that are safe for dogs to use. Staff was friendly and provided me with lots of good tips. Store is small, but very organized and the selection of items is very good.

Beautiful off leash area. Lots of areas with water for summer play. Various trails available. Bathroom available at entrance (near 12 mile horse stables entrance). There are stations along the trail if you forgot bags to clean up after your dog. $3 fee or you can purchase annual pass.

I have a catahoula dog that likes to run around and Chase stuff. It's a pretty big Park. Probably the closest big one to Denver that you can do off leash. Dogs can chase the critters and there's a 3 Mile loop you can walk around. It's flat and pretty open. There's water and a small Creek that goes inside the park on the north side. It's very flat and very open. There's an outer perimeter trail loop. It's probably a couple of miles around. There's a few structures the dog can climb like a tunnel and a ramp The dogs went free. The people are pretty friendly. We did see a coyote outside hunting. Some kind of critter so just be aware there's other animals there that aren't dogs. It looks to be two places to park North and the South side. The South one tends to be the most crowded. They have poop bags and garbage cans as well.

We had a really nice time and our dogs did too. If you have a puppy and want to introduce them to water, this is a great place. Shallow water with slow moving currents. Tired puppies are good puppies.
