We went to the playground which was great except for there being no potty anywhere close. We ended up having an emergency with no where to go but outside. Thank goodness for dog bags. 😩🤮

Beautiful open space with big trees for shade should you bring a picnic blanket. A playground, workout area, volleyball net, basketball court and dog park. A lovely space to come and play. Bring sunglasses or a hat on sunny days. Only 1 bench under a shade tree. Play equipment only partially covered. Really nice.

Christie Scafale Park is named in honor a young lady who lost her life at the age of 17. Christie was an award winning athlete at her high school, captain of the high school varsity girls volleyball team, and a coach for the Cooper City Optimist Club. She also was a member of several high school clubs and a volunteer at Pembroke Pines General Hospital. On the night before Thanksgiving in 1988 Christie was on a ride at the Broward County Fair called Monster when the arm snapped off killing her. It was later learned that cracks in the arm were painted over to hide them. After Christie's death, state legislators attempted to reform ride inspections at traveling carnivals. In January of 1989, Cooper City renamed the 3 acre Timberlake Park after Christie. Located at the end of the street where she lived, it was the first park ever created in Cooper City in February of 1981. In July of 2018 Cooper City added a dog park with a large and small area. The dog park has fenced play areas, play equipment, benches, picnic tables, water fountains, and waste bag receptacles. In addition to the dog park there is also a paved walkway, sand volleyball court, basketball court, and playground. This is a great park to take your pups and kids to play. I enjoyed walking around and checking out the birds drawn to the water in the canal. Christie Scafale was an exceptional young lady who had her life cut short. I will leave you with her words "I see myself as a rainbow - full of color - brightening a rainy day with lots of joy. Trying to bring a smile about someone's face." What a nicer place this world would be if we all lived her words.

Christie Schafale dog park is a picturesque cozy dog park nestled in the greater Christie Schafale park, with some nice fona, aged trees and a river. Lots of cover from the sun around the perimeter of the park. Dog park has some hoops that dogs can jump through.

The park is extremely small and cute. The dog park area needs some work! The grass was as high as my mini Maltese. He was in the jungle 😂
